ABOUT TNWA 150

At Transportation Network Workers Association (TNWA) 150, we believe that every transportation network driver deserves fair pay, strong protections, and the ability to work with dignity. We are committed to improving working conditions for rideshare drivers in Illinois by advocating for better wages, benefits, and protections—all while preserving the flexibility that makes driving such a valuable career.

What We’re Fighting For

1. Guaranteed Minimum Earnings

Drivers should never have to worry about earning less than minimum wage. We’re fighting to ensure you have a guaranteed earnings floor that provides financial stability, so you’re always fairly compensated for your time.

2. Paid Sick Time

No driver should have to choose between their health and making a living. We’re advocating for paid sick time for drivers, allowing you to take time off when needed without losing your income.

3. Occupational Accident Insurance

Getting injured on the job shouldn’t leave you without a safety net. We’re pushing for occupational accident insurance that covers medical expenses and lost wages if you’re hurt while working.

4. Fair Account Deactivation Process

Drivers deserve protection from unfair deactivation. We’re advocating for a clear and transparent appeals process that gives you the right to fight wrongful deactivations — and the support you need throughout the process.

5. Flexibility and Independence

Your ability to choose when, where, and how you work is crucial. We’re working to protect your independence as a driver, ensuring you can continue working on your terms without being locked into one company or set schedule.

Why This Matters for Drivers Like You

We know that driving offers a unique opportunity — flexible work, extra income, and independence. But too often, drivers face challenges like unfair pay, lack of benefits, and sudden deactivations without recourse.

We believe:

  • You should always be paid fairly for your work.
  • You deserve benefits like paid time off and accident protection.
  • You should have a voice when decisions impact your ability to earn.
  • You should always have the flexibility to drive when and how you choose.
